Studio Beach Portraits
Thursday, July 1st, 2010Have you ever wanted a cool family portrait at the beach but didn’t want to fight the traffic and have to worry about the weather being right when you got there. Here at Crossan Studios outdoor studio we have made a beach that includes a dock and water as well. Not only do you get the beach look but the money you will save will surprise you as well. I photograph beach portraits on St Croix USVI beacheswhile staying at our Oceanfront condo in St Croix, the Seabreezegetaway, and at the Delaware Beaches and yes the Ocean is there but usually we either get the sand dunes or the ocean in the photographs, not both. Geocaching on St Croix USVI
Sunday, April 18th, 2010It’s one thing to visit or vacation on a beautiful Island in the Middle of the Caribbean. And on St Croix in the USVI’s there is plenty to see and do both on land and in the water. But recently our guests at The SeaBreezegetaway condo brought a handheld GPS with them and toured the Island while searching for some of the 14 geocach sites located on the Island. Not only is it fun but you will surely visit places and learn more about St Croix than if you were just sitting on the beach drinking a rum punch. I made this photograph of a couple who located the geo cach at the Ham’s Bluff Lighthouse on the Islands Northwest end. Happy Hunting

Point Udall In St Croix USVI
Saturday, November 7th, 2009The first time I traveled out to Point Udall from our USVI St Croix rental condo the Seabreeze it was a bright,hot day. Upon arriving at the high wind swept point I saw a hugh storm brewing in the Caribbean out toward the British Virgin Islands. As a photographer in the US Virgin Islands I grabbed my Canon 5D Mark II and started shooting the developing scene. Then I stopped and slowly turned around 360 degrees and what a view.Of course it changes with each passing hour and I can;t wait to get back for a sunrise. This image was created from 2 separate images stitched together to make one.You can see more St Croix images at

The Seabreeze Getaway Oceanfront Condo in St Croix USVI
Friday, April 3rd, 2009Sometimes crazy things happen that you just don’t expect or plan.. Take for example a trip Karla and I made to St Croix late last year to visit our daughter.. While waiting for our flight we stopped to check out a PINK oceanfront condo that caught our eye. While the views and location were breath taking we didn’t really have a sense that we would buy it. After arriving home and doing some research we were sold and made an offer.. Needless to say the sale was made and we now enjoy spending time at the Seabreezegetaway , a Caribbean oceanfront condo that is location on the Islands West End and is within easy walking distance to the town of Frederiksted. Of course I have been networking and making photographs when ever possible. In case your wondering we do rent the Seabreeze condo on a limited basis.
