Studio Beach Portraits

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

Have you ever wanted a cool family portrait at the beach but didn’t want to fight the traffic and have to worry about the weather being right when you got there. Here at Crossan Studios outdoor studio we have made a beach that includes a dock and water as well. Not only do you get the beach look but the money you will save will surprise you as well. I photograph beach portraits on St Croix USVI beacheswhile staying at our Oceanfront condo in St Croix, the Seabreezegetaway, and at the Delaware Beaches and yes the Ocean is there but usually we either get the sand dunes or the ocean in the photographs, not both. So If your in the mood for a beach portrait and want to stay in New Castle County, give us a call. St Croix USVI Engagement Photography Session

Monday, October 19th, 2009

A special  thank you to Michael and Kerri for allowing me to make there official engagement portraits on the beautiful Island of St Croix in the US Virgin Islands.  Even after waiting for the sun to set the temp. was a warm 88 degrees they both held up great.  We started at the  historic 1750’s Rum factory ruins at the former  Butler Bay Plantation and ended up at Sprat Hall Beach, home of  the Sunset Grill, where we  completed the photo shoot as the sun disappeared into the Caribbean. St Croix offers a great mix of historic properties and white sand beaches lining the warm  Caribbean waters in which to stage photography sessions and weddings. Come down and check us out…. Mon….

Lewes,DE Family Beach Portrait

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Photographing large family  beach  portraits can be a  real challenge. First sand and salt water are the cameras worst enemies. Everyone wants the best weather for there session and most sessions are shot in the early evening when the LIGHT IS JUST RIGHT….. This  all leaves little room for error and you must work fast to get all of the images made. When family pets and small childern are invloved the sessions can become even more complicated and challenging.  Last week I had the please of meeting and photographing a part of the Reardon family on Lewes Beach.. We had 3 separate familes within the family to photograph and then the group as a whole.. Everyone cooperated nicely (including the weather) and I then had everyone gather on the beach for a FUN,last gathering before the sun set and a way to relax and wind down after our sessions.
